RED LIZARDS SUPPORT HOMETOWN RACE

PACING

For the sixth consecutive year, Team Red Lizard will be providing pace groups for the Portland Marathon. For information on our pace groups, see the 2007 OregonLive.com TRL Pacing Website.

24-MILE AID STATION

Once again, Team Red Lizard will be operating the infamous 24-Mile Aid Station. This year, this aid station will be located 24 miles from the start (hey, why not?) at North Interstate Avenue and North Clark Avenue, 1/4 mile west of the Broadway bridge.

At this point in the marathon most of the runners and walkers are running low on energy. That's where we come in. Can you spell HIGH ENERGY? Can you cheer like a maniac and hand out cups of water to thirsty participants while the music is cranking? Then we need you on that wall! We need you on that Aid Station!

Shifts available:

1st Shift Set-Up Crew ~ 6:45 am - 9am Need at least 7-10 folks
2nd Shift Am/Starting Shift ~ 8:45 am - 11am Need lots of folks
3rd Shift Prime Time Shift A ~ 10:45am - 1pm Need lots of folks

EXPO

TRL will once again have a booth at the Portland Marathon Sports and Fitness Expo at the Hilton Hotel (SW 6th Ave and SW Salmon St.) in downtown Portland.

At the booth, we'll be passing out the TRL pace bands that show the "even effort" splits for lots of paces. We'll also answer questions from participants. It's a great opportunity to talk marathons with tons of very nice people. Some have lots of marathon experience and some have none. So you get all kinds of questions. The one constant is the positive energy from everyone. It's a blast!

To sign up for a stint at the booth, contact Steve Trautwein at Steve.Trautwein@CH2M.com.
